The end of the day on October 31 marked the end of first quarter. Now, the school year is officially 25 percent finished.

As the upperclassmen have experienced the feeling of having completed a part of the school year, this is the freshman classes first few months in high school.

“I feel like [being 25 percent done] is crazy because I feel like I just got here”, freshman Cassidy Krajc said. “It’s crazy how fast time is going”.

Some seniors have a similar feeling to the freshman, as this is their last year in high school.

“[The beginning of the year] went by pretty quick”, senior Ryan Kvamme said.

The school year is flying by for most students, and putting time into perspective makes it seem minimal at best. There is less than a month to Thanksgiving break, which is the first big break of the year.

There are still many events and school days ahead, but now students are realizing that although time may seem slow in the moment, in the big picture the school days and weeks go by fast.

Some students have a hard time adjusting to school coming immediately from about 11 weeks of summer vacation. Now that students have had a couple months to get back into the swing of school, everyone is ready for the rest of the year.

After winter break and Martin Luther King Jr. day, the second quarter will be end on January 25, 2019. The school year will be halfway done at this time. Third quarter begins on April 5, 2019. School officially ends on June 21, 2019, and most students are look forward, and plan, for that day all year round.
